Job Description

SUMMARY Plans and performs preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, tools, and buildings by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties will be assigned. Develops preventive maintenance plans for building and equipment. Reviews manufacturers' service manuals, company usage, maintenance history, and discussions with supervisor and maintenance associates to create task lists and frequency assignments. Creates custom Preventive Maintenance forms on a personal computer. Schedules preventive maintenance with minimal interference to production. Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities including but not limited to, lubrication of equipment, checking for faulty electrical parts and connections, replacement of worn mechanical/electrical parts on machines, replacement/cleaning of various types of filters on equipment, washing, cleaning, changing fluids, etc. Performs OHSA and other required safety inspections of equipment. Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment. Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery. Maintains records of planned and completed maintenance. Conducts Preventive Maintenance audits and reviews. Tracks and maintains audit review records on a Personal Computer. Operates forklift and man-lift equipment. Provides training to production personnel on how to perform preventive maintenance tasks and record keeping.
OTHER DUTIES
Provide additional support to the maintenance department as required. Complete other tasks assigned by the Director of Engineering/Director of Quality Be available for production assignments if required

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE
High school diploma; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required to have electrical experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, blueprints, wiring diagrams, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with employees of the organization. Ability to create task checklists on computers using Microsoft Office software.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
