Job Description

East End Disability Associates is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Worker to support the upkeep and safety of our facilities. This role is essential to ensure that all sites remain in good repair and compliant with OPWDD regulations. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently across multiple locations.
schedule:
Monday-Friday7am-3pm, flexibility based on program needs hourly rate: $23/hr

Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance tasks including painting, plumbing, electrical work, and general repairs. Monitor and maintain heating, cooling, and water systems to ensure proper operation. Respond to emergency maintenance calls and travel to sites as needed. Remove snow and debris from sidewalks and driveways to maintain safe access. Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized services; evaluate work quality and compliance. Develop detailed scopes of work for projects and assist in bid evaluation. Prioritize and schedule work orders based on safety, location, materials, and time requirements. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and completed work. Valid NYS Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record. 3-5 years of relevant maintenance experience preferred. Associate's degree or technical training is a plus; equivalent experience will be considered. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. Physical Requirements Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights. Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
