Job Description
Property Management company looking to add a property maintenance technician for ~100 units in the heart of the South Wedge. We have a high expectation of our people and their work. Must be self-directed, self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks and get them done Duties included but not limited to are as follows: Handle all work assignments in a timely, professional manner. Maintain property appearance including monitoring grounds and common areas on a daily basis. Ensure that all fire and building codes are adhered to; will notify supervisor immediately of any potential safety or building code violations. Refurbish vacancies (Turnovers) including painting, cleaning, and general maintenance repairs with some supervision. Perform general repairs to apartments including, but not limited to: patching and painting of drywall, repairs or changing of locks, light plumbing of sinks and drains, replacing lightbulbs and smoke/CO2 detectors, changing outlets and fixtures. Willing to clean apartments for occupancy turnovers. Willing to do whatever it takes to maintain apartments to a high quality and provide good customer service. Must be experienced, honest, competent, clear communicator, and be able to make recommendations to management. Individual needs to be responsible, able to take direction, comfortable working alone for majority of work. Must have good analytical skills and some computer skills required. On call rotation is required to answer afterhours service calls. Perform snow removal, including shoveling, blowing, salting and plowing, per supervisor's direction. Must be able to lift ~50 lbs. Must be able to use a ladder Maintain integrity of the properties and tenants by ensuring confidentiality of resident and company information.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid driver's license and clean driving record required. Personal smart phone required. Reliable source of transportation. Prior experience in apartment maintenance is preferred. Mechanical ability, as well as general knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Must supply own basic hand tools and basic power tools: drill/ screwdriver, hammer, etc. Ability to meet established deadlines. Personable, professional attitude. Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.Job Type:
