Skilled Maintenance

Maintenance Opportunity:

The Skilled Maintenance Worker will perform routine maintenance and repair to multiple Sherwood Inn Properties. Assists in various upkeep to hotel and restaurant functions, in addition to other tasks. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Preventive Maintenance:

Perform routine, repetitive daily inspection and maintenance necessary to building exterior/interior, HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems to prevent failures.

Specialized Trade Tasks:

Performing skilled work light carpentry, plumbing, painting, and drywall

Asset Management:

Operating and maintaining tools and equipment, maintaining inventory of supplies, and managing work orders

Safety Compliance:

Ensuring all work complies with local building codes and safety regulations, including safe handling of hazardous materials. Education and Work Experience High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) Physical Requirements Must be able to lift and stack objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and frequently exert 10 to 20 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, and pull or otherwise move objects Work involves frequent periods of standing and walking, which may include climbing ladders and staircases Work involves stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting/turning and reaching; bending at the waist. Indoor/ out-door work environment with exposure to weather extremes Other Requirements NYS Driver's License High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) 2 year of related employment in the building maintenance
