ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Maintains grounds and parking lots, performing garbage pick-up, minor routine parking lot repairs, landscaping, weeding, and other related maintenance activities. Maintains building by performing minor and routine painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical wiring, tile repair and other related maintenance activities. Performs maintenance and repairs on equipment, including small engines and electrical motors. Notifies the supervisor of the need for significant lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment repairs. Maintains motor vehicles (trucks, tractors, salters, and plows). Repairs and maintains all doors and entryway hardware. Cleans snow and debris from sidewalks and parking lots. Mows lawn, trims shrubbery, and cultivates flowers. Replace light bulbs. Operates power tools and equipment. Must have a valid Driver's license.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Trade school certification and mechanical repair courses or equivalent experience, a plus. Experience in one or more relevant fields, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, landscaping, etc., a plus.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
