This is a hands-on, skilled position in a fast-paced distribution environment. Position Overview The DC Maintenance Worker is responsible for preventative maintenance, repairs, and facility upkeep across warehouse equipment and systems. This role ensures equipment reliability and supports overall distribution center operations. Key Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment including conveyors, forklifts, dock equipment, and machinery Maintain and service industrial batteries (charging, watering, and changing) Inspect and maintain safety systems including fire suppression, sprinklers, and equipment checks Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems (up to 480VAC), plumbing, and building systems Support installations of new equipment and facility improvements Perform routine inspections (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly) Maintain safe work practices and report hazards Ensure clean and organized work areas What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent (technical/trade school preferred) Minimum 3 years of maintenance mechanic experience required Strong mechanical skills with basic electrical knowledge Experience with hand tools, power tools, and general building maintenance Knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, and facility systems Basic computer skills (warehouse systems experience a plus) Ability to work independently and problem solve What to Expect in This Role Hands-on repair and maintenance work across multiple systems Troubleshooting equipment and responding to operational issues Physical activity including lifting, climbing, and extended movement Working across different areas of the distribution center Fast-paced environment supporting active warehouse operations Work Environment Warehouse environment with temperature variations ( 25°F-105°F ) Exposure to equipment, noise, and industrial conditions Use of forklifts, tools, and maintenance equipment Physical work including lifting 10-55 lbs , standing/walking for extended periods, and climbing ladders ✅ Apply today to join our Columbus distribution center maintenance team!
