Job Description
Performs skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled tasks to assist in the repair and installation of sewer lines. Operates and maintains pump stations. Operates backhoe, dump truck, jackhammer, high-pressure sewer cleaner, sewer vacuum truck, sewer-rodding machine, bucket machine, checks lift stations, operates flood control. Operates the sewer camera truck line-televising program. Operates and maintains pump stations. Repairs streets and landscaping to original condition after work is completed. Services and performs maintenance and repair of the equipment. Works with Water Distribution crews as needed. Other related duties as required. Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Must possess a valid Ohio Driver's License with a Class B CDL endorsement and obtain Class A within probationary period. The Class I Wastewater Collection System Certification issued by the Ohio EPA must be obtained within two years of employment. Must demonstrate proficient skills in the use of tools used in the repair and installation of sewer lines. Qualified applicants will be required to participate in an online Civil Service competitive selection process where you will be tested regarding your abilities to meet individual job requirements.
