  • Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Worker to join our dedicated team at a reputable Skilled Nursing Facility.
In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality, and comfort of our facility by performing a wide range of maintenance tasks. Your expertise will help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and staff alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance skills in a meaningful healthcare setting. Your leadership and customer service abilities will be key to maintaining high standards of operational excellence. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment. Troubleshoot and repair various facility issues using schematics, technical manuals, and your mechanical knowledge. Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and Ohmmeters to diagnose electrical problems accurately. Conduct residential painting, welding, and other handyman tasks to maintain the facility's appearance and safety standards. Use TELS (Computerized
WORK ORDER
management system) software to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and manage inventory. Supervise maintenance projects, coordinate with vendors or contractors when necessary, and oversee junior staff or apprentices. Ensure compliance with state safety regulations and facility policies while maintaining a high level of customer service for residents and staff. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related fields such as manufacturing or residential building upkeep. Strong electrical experience complemented by knowledge of schematics and the use of tools like Ohmmeters. Mechanical knowledge with hands-on skills in welding, plumbing, painting, and general repair work. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics for troubleshooting complex systems. Experience supervising or leading maintenance teams is preferred but not required. Excellent communication skills in English to effectively collaborate with team members and residents. Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and safety protocols confidently.
