Maintenance Helper Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Helper. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on various machinery, equipment and general maintenance within the facility. The technician will ensure the efficient operation of equipment and infrastructure to minimize downtime and improve overall productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, and building systems to ensure optimal functionality. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and other systems. Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections. Monitor inventory and ensure the availability of necessary tools and supplies. Work closely with the management team to schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks. Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in all maintenance work. Assist with facility improvements and upgrades as needed. Maintain clean and safe work areas and equipment. Work with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or installations when required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree preferred. Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role. Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods. Comfortable working in a variety of environments, including confined spaces and elevated areas.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with specific industry machinery or equipment. Certification in specialized areas (e.g., HVAC, electrical, or plumbing). Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and standards.

$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
