Job Description

Mechanic Apprentice (Temporary)
Salary:
$14.00 per hour (Non-Exempt)
Job Type:
Part Time Shift:
7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday - Friday. Flexible with college or school schedules.

Open Until Filled Job Description This job classification has been designated as a safety sensitive job classification in accordance with the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act, 63 O.S., § 427.1 et seq., (OSCN 2019), effective August 29, 2019. Education and Experience:
Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age. Must have at least a tenth grade education.
Licenses:
Valid Oklahoma driver's license and satisfactory motor vehicle record.
Knowledge:
Mechanical aptitude and basic automotive knowledge.
Skills:
Basic use of hand and power tools. Basic use of shop equipment. Use and care of lawn maintenance equipment. Ability to follow specific oral and written instructions.
Essential Functions:
Assists technicians in the repair and maintenance of motor vehicles and equipment. Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and vehicles to ensure proper operating conditions. Helps shuttle vehicles to and from dealerships and equipment vendors. Cuts grass, removes litter and weeds; cleans floors, restrooms and facility grounds to maintain and upkeep the facilities.
Mental and Physical Abilities:
Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy (25-50 lb.) materials, supplies, and equipment frequently. Ability to life heavy (50-75 lb.) materials, supplies, and equipment occasionally. Work requires continued walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing. Ability to maintain regular, predictable and punctual attendance.
Working Conditions:
Frequent exposure of up to 80% of work time to dirt, dust, extremes of temperature, noise, and noxious fumes and odors.
