Streets Maintenance Worker I (Full-time; Non-Exempt)Department:
Public Works•Streets Division Job Summary:
The Streets Maintenance Worker is responsible for a variety of routine and semi-skilled activities in the construction and maintenance of city street and drainage infrastructure. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Streets Division Supervisor and does not have supervisory responsibilities. This position is designated as safety sensitive and is subject to random drug and alcohol screening. Salary; Benefits; andWork Schedule Salary :

Monday- Friday 7:00 am
- 3:30 pm Share "On-Call" responsibility for emergency call-out situations Essential Functions Respond to customer complaints regarding street and drainage conditions; evaluate findings and notify Street Superintendent or Supervisor Perform required labor involved in: Crack sealing Street Sweeping Snow and ice removal Pavement repair and patching Sidewalk maintenance and repair Drainage maintenance Sign inventory; replacement; and maintenance Small construction projects Drive trucks of various sizes and weights in the loading; hauling and unloading of various equipment; pipe; gravel; dirt and sand Share "On-Call" responsibility for emergency call-out situations Minimum Qualifications and Experience High School Graduate or GED equivalent Valid drivers' license with a good driving record; and "Class A" CDL certification or the ability to obtain CDL certification within six months of hire One year construction related experience preferred Must be respirator/self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) certifiable Working Environment and Physical Requirements Work will be performed mostly outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
