Full Job Description Job Summary:

Under general supervision, installs, maintains, repairs, and services water distribution facilities.

Major Responsibilities:

Assists with installation and repair of water lines and mains Assists with installation of new service taps Assists with line locates as needed Assists with joining and fitting of pipelines and valves Assists with repair of fire hydrants, valves, and individual service connections Assists with maintenance of pumps, lift stations, water towers and associated equipment Assists in the preparation of reports concerning work progress and other reports as assigned by the foreman or superintendent Maintains safe work environment through continual observance of procedures and safety awareness Maintains cleanliness of interior and exterior of facility by way of mowing; weed eating, sweeping, mopping, and general upkeep. On an as needed basis performs traffic control, repairs street and sidewalks, notifies customers of service interruptions, and collects water samples. Notifies customers when assigned work affects service Performs other duties as assigned, including assisting other departments as required.

Minimum Qualifications & Required Knowledge:
