Job Description

Shift :
Monday through Friday from 7am to 3:45pm
Pay :
$13 per hour Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and dependable Porter/Maintenance Worker to join our dynamic facilities team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and operational integrity of our property. Your energetic approach will ensure that all areas are well-kept, functional, and compliant with safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a well-organized environment while developing your skills across various maintenance disciplines. Duties Perform general cleaning and custodial tasks across all facility areas, including residential painting and surface touch-ups to uphold a professional appearance. Conduct routine inspections of the premises to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, or repairs required. Assist with minor repairs involving plumbing, electrical systems, or mechanical equipment using schematics and technical manuals. Operate tools and equipment such as welders, ohmmeters, and other maintenance devices safely and effectively. Support facilities maintenance activities by troubleshooting issues related to programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical systems, or mechanical components. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Supervise or assist in the supervision of other maintenance staff or contractors during projects or repairs. Support manufacturing or residential projects by applying welding skills or performing basic carpentry tasks as needed. Respond promptly to customer service requests related to facility issues, ensuring a positive experience for residents and staff. Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams. Proficiency in electrical work, including experience with electrical systems and troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters. Hands-on experience with facilities maintenance, including plumbing, painting, welding, and general repairs. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and their operation in industrial or building automation contexts. Ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals accurately for repair and maintenance tasks. Experience with CMMS platforms for tracking work orders and maintenance history. Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with residents or team members. Supervising experience is preferred to coordinate team efforts effectively. Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes can be advantageous for specialized repair tasks. Competency in residential painting techniques for aesthetic upkeep of the property. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welders, and other maintenance equipment safely. Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration.
