Plant Utility Worker EcoLube Recovery - 2.4 Portland, OR Job Details Full-time $22 - $24 an hour 3 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Paid time off 401(k) matching Benefits from day one Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description EcoLube Recovery, a Pacific Northwest owned and operated company, is seeking a Plant Utility Worker to join its team in Portland, Oregon. As a key member of the refinery operations, this role offers hands-on experience across a variety of plant tasks, providing an excellent opportunity to learn the processes and grow into a more specialized position as opportunities arise. Both day and swing shifts are available. Responsibilities Assist with loading and offloading bulk transport liquids and dry goods. Perform basic laboratory analysis to support plant operations. Utilize computer systems for data entry, email communication, and record keeping. Support refinery operations by changing strainers, investigating temperatures and pressures, and manually operating valves. Participate in plant maintenance activities, including preventative maintenance, greasing, lubrication, and temperature evaluation. Maintain a clean and organized work area through daily housekeeping tasks. Consistently wear personal protective equipment and promote a culture of safety through responsible work habits. Perform other duties as assigned to support overall plant operations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be at least 18 years old. Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office suite. Mechanical aptitude preferred. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Ability to understand instructions provided in English. Previous experience in a refinery or industrial setting is beneficial. Manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment. Ability to climb ladders and work at heights over 30 feet. Ability to lift 40+ pounds, carry 10-20 pounds, and push/pull up to 250 pounds with mechanical assistance.
