Maintenance Worker

Village Inn is currently seeking a general maintenance worker that will perform various tasks for the general, preventive and emergency maintenance of the hotel. This individual will be responsible for common areas, hotel reception and guest rooms, as well as assisting in the repairs and maintenance of hotel equipment. Responsibilities Responsible for the overall maintenance of the property and equipment as assigned Understand and operate basic electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and boiler systems Communicate with guests and staff and provide information and assistance Check for new maintenance requests and update remarks once the task is completed Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on all types of equipment High degree of flexibility and adaptability Team player attitude with great interpersonal skills and strong problem solving skills Qualifications Minimum 2 years experience in a similar position Ability to handle internal and external clients with high degree of tolerance, diplomacy, and tact Ability to kneel, bend, carry, walk, climb, and lift at least 75lbs, in addition to possessing manual skills Competent skills regarding the safe operation of small hand and electric tools Able to manage stressful working situations and prioritize and organize work assignments Ability to work under pressure and exercise good judgement Ability to focus attention on details, speed and accuracy
