Job Description

We are a well known Manufacturer in Tualatin, and have an immediate opening for a maintenance technician. Do you like to troubleshoot, repair, and make upgrades to various types of CNC controlled machines and factory equipment? Do you enjoy working both independently and in a highly diversified team environment with multiple skill levels? Do you like to work under limited supervision? Primary Functions:
Performs routine preventative maintenance work according to preventative maintenance and/or specification on assigned machinery and systems. Performs corrective maintenance under the leadership of more senior workers. Conducts daily rounds of readings and periodic or special inspections to determine necessary repair work. Change filters Clean machines Replace burnt out light bulbs Perform routine 30/60/90 day Preventive Maintenance Remove and replace machine parts with supervision Assist in troubleshooting problems Lubricate equipment Will focus on minor repairs to facility including plumbing, carpentry, painting, etc. All other job duties as assigned.
Key skills and qualifications:
1-2 + years of experience in equipment maintenance and repair. Must possess a high mechanical aptitude Must be a self-starter, and detail oriented. Must be able to drive a forklift, or able to be trained to drive a forklift. Be able to follow instructions of more senior workers. Must demonstrate ability to plan, organize, execute and obtain objectives with minimal directions. Must be able to work with minimal supervision, able to work flexible schedule, multi-task, achieve goals. Must work well with others to establish and maintain an excellent team atmosphere. Certification and/or accreditation NOT required, however applicants may be asked to prove the following in an interactive interview and skills assessment: Having all of the skills below is desirable, however not having all of them is not a disqualifier, as we can help a motivated learner acquire the skills they are lighter on. Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical devices. Experience using a variety of tools including hand and power tools, electric meters, manual machine tools, welders, and material handling equipment. Experience with high voltage wiring (220V-480V). Ability to design and perform light fabrication of custom tools for specific jobs. Understanding of lubrication and ability to properly lubricate equipment.
