Job Description
Job Summary Conneautville Borough is seeking applications for a part-time General Laborer in our Streets and Water department. The position is a manual labor focused position maintaining Borough streets, mowing grass, trimming brush, snow removal, digging, and other general tasks. Do not have to be a Borough resident to apply. Duties Works in constructing curbing, repairing dirt and asphalt streets; and in the construction, repairing, and maintenance of storm sewers. Works in setting fire hydrants, water meters, inserting valves, repairing water main breaks, installing water services, and related activities. Operates backhoe, high-lift, tamping machine, truck, jackhammer, welder, and other equipment as required. Operates snowplow and salt spreader for snow removal and ice control. Read and interpret schematics to understand systems and troubleshoot problems effectively. Carry out mechanical repairs and maintenance on machinery and equipment. Requirements Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License and clean driving record Ability to maintain a schedule Ability to problem solve. Ability to understand and carry out instructions. Ability to work with one or several employees. Prior experience in digging with a backhoe a plus. Flexible scheduling during winter season required
