Summary:

The Community Maintenance Assistant is responsible for assisting the Maintenance Staff Members in completing tasks that ensure the community meets safety, appearance, and operational standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of the community, including the grounds, amenities, and interior and exterior of the building. Complete the "turn" process (including painting and floor cleaning) in empty suites for move-in by new residents. Assist with accessing and removing tools, supplies, equipment, and other materials from the maintenance areas. Follow operating and safety policies and procedures, and comply with federal, state, and local laws and ordinances. Complete paperwork and other documentation associated with work orders. Attend all staff meetings and training programs and participate in on-going training with the McCartney Residences staff on an as needed.

Possess strong customer service skills. Must have troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. and navigate up/downstairs. Ability to work up to 20 hours a week Monday through Friday between 8:00am-5:00pm. Availability to work May 26 through August 21. Work Hours Twenty hours per week in shifts Monday through Friday between 8:00am -5:00pm Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
