PM Job Summary:

The Maintenance Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of facilities and equipment. This position involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and assisting in the upkeep of the facility. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of mechanical knowledge, electrical experience, HVAC experience and customer service skills to effectively support the maintenance team. Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance. Assist in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and schematics. Perform welding tasks as needed to maintain structural integrity of facilities. Engage in residential painting projects to enhance the appearance of facilities. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and maintenance schedules. Provide leadership and supervision to junior staff or interns during maintenance projects. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks while maintaining high standards of quality. Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing facility-related concerns promptly and effectively. Qualifications Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance is essential. Proficiency in electrical systems, including the ability to read schematics. Electrical and HVAC experience is preferred Previous experience in manufacturing environments is preferred. Welding skills are a plus for structural repairs and modifications. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and customers. Supervising experience is beneficial for overseeing maintenance activities and guiding less experienced staff. A commitment to safety protocols and best practices within a maintenance setting is required.
