Full Job Description Summary :
The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for the assistance in maintaining the physical integrity & cleanliness of the building at all times. This involves insuring a safe and secure environment for customers, clients, visitors and team. The assistant actively participates in the cleanliness & maintenance of the physical condition of the entire building while promoting tenant satisfaction. Our Maintenance team is very customer service driven, that creates a lasting influence on visitors, prospects, and tenants. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (subject to revision, reduction and/or increase): Assists in all aspects of property maintenance & janitorial, including preventative, corrective, deferred and emergency maintenance. On-call service for "after hours" emergencies. Scheduling so service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Perform service requests for tenants. Paint, clean & troubleshoot repairs inside leased units. Diagnose and perform basic maintenance/repairs. A/C and heating, electrical and plumbing systems, water and sewer lines, stairs, gates, fences, patios, railings, roofing, gutters, tile, carpet, flooring, fireplaces, appliances, doors, cabinets, windows, hot water tanks, walls and ceilings, security system, tile, and other equipment as required. Responsible for daily upkeep and cleanliness of building common areas. Pick up trash on grounds, breezeways, parking lots, recreational areas, trash enclosures and remove building trash Sweep and clean stairwell areas. Clean common areas. Daily upkeep and cleanliness of lounges and amenity areas. Snow Removal. Lead and participate in ground maintenance and up keep. Walk property daily. Responsible for maximizing curb appeal. Aid in the turnover of vacant units. Trash out vacant units. Assist with make readies, including but not limited to basic maintenance repairs, cleaning unit interiors, carpets, windows, appliances and moving furniture as needed. Inspect and report vandalism and common area damages. Assist in maintaining inventory of repaired equipment, supplies, and materials. Other duties as assigned. Requirements 1+ years of related maintenance experience preferred. Working knowledge of all aspects of building maintenance. OSHA/Safety Certifications preferred. Valid/Current driver's license. Strong leadership and customer service orientation. Computer/Internet literate.
