PER DIEM TEMPORARY STAFF
Posting Number 5782 Definition of Class Performs general labor duties up to and including inmate supervision, grounds maintenance, general cleaning/organizing and OJT training on all skill sets needed to maintain the building. Maintenance supervisor will dictate what is a priority. Perform any and all tasks not listed above as assigned by supervisors and or OIC on an as needed basis. Duties & Responsibilities Principal functions of this job will be general maintenance purposes, inmate supervision, grounds maintenance and any other tasks assigned by a supervisor or administration on a case by case basis. This individual should shadow other maintenance staff when available and assist with projects to enhance their knowledge of the building and improve their skill level in various trades. This is not a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be adherent to the job as duties will be assigned on a case by case basis. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Basic knowledge in various trades is preferred, but not required. Must be able to assist and be willing to learn and comprehend basic electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, troubleshooting and specific correctional maintenance incorporated throughout the building. Individual will be tasked to work independently at times up to and including supervising inmate work crews and operation of vehicles and grounds equipment. Individual will attend and successfully pass written tests regarding various corrections policies and procedures and have a full understanding of prohibition regarding fraternization with inmates. ECP will provide all training to perform all tasks that will be assigned. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or GED Must have a Valid Driver's License Preferred Qualifications Related training preferred. Conditions Of Employment
