Job Description:

Johnstown Housing Authority Full-time Maintenance Repairmen Starting wage is $23.97 per hour. Some overtime required. Benefits, including medical, dental and vision, plus retirement plans and paid holidays available after required waiting period. Performs semi-skilled maintenance work in all crafts including, but not limited to: carpentry, plastering, electrical, heating and ventilating, plumbing, concrete placement, lock repair and various other miscellaneous areas. Participates in regular, preventative and emergency maintenance. Drives vehicles to transport equipment, material or discarded items as needed. Performs other related work as directed by the building maintenance foreman or superintendent. Must have high school diploma or equivalent, minimum of one year experience as a maintenance laborer or experience in one or more of the building trades. Must have a valid PA driver's license. Knowledge of, and ability to employ, standard practices of building trades used to perform duties including materials, tools, and procedure; ability to use, operate and care for power and hand tools related to the building and mechanical trades; ability to communicate well both oral and written form; ability to work cooperatively with others; ability to report to any site at any time for work and ability to lift 70 pounds without risk or injury.
