Howell Engineering, a leading civil engineering firm located in West Chester, PA, is seeking an experienced Property Maintenance Specialist to join our team. To ensure the optimal functioning and maintenance of our properties, we are seeking a skilled and versatile Property Maintenance Manager/Handyman to join our team.
Job Overview:
As the Property Maintenance Specialist/Handyman, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our properties, including office buildings, facilities, and residential properties. This position requires technical expertise and hands-on experience in property maintenance and repair. You will be responsible for managing maintenance operations and performing various hands-on tasks as needed.Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of property maintenance, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and improvements. Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities to ensure efficient operations and minimal disruption to business activities. Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and opportunities for improvement. Perform hands-on repairs and maintenance tasks, including landscaping, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general handyman work. Perform light electrical and HVAC maintenance. Oversee and coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance tasks, obtaining quotes and ensuring quality workmanship. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, expenses, and inventory of supplies and equipment. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and address issues in a timely and professional manner. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards. Develop and implement maintenance policies and procedures to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability.Qualifications:
Proven experience in property maintenance, with at least 3 years of experience in a similar role. Strong technical skills and proficiency in a variety of trades, including landscaping, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general handyman work. Some knowledge of electrical and HVAC operations. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues effectively. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.Benefits:
