Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis. Job Summary The Maintenance Worker at Seven Holy Founders Catholic Church is responsible for maintaining parish and school buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for parishioners, students, staff, and visitors. This position performs a variety of maintenance tasks, including semi-skilled carpentry, basic plumbing and electrical work, painting, groundskeeping, and general repairs. Job Responsibilities Clean and maintain the PSR building, including mopping and vacuuming floors, cleaning restrooms, and washing windows following weekly PSR meetings Maintain parish grounds by mowing, edging, watering, weeding, pruning, and raking on a seasonal basis Perform minor maintenance and repairs in the church, school, rectory, and other parish buildings Haul, move, and transport materials, equipment, and supplies as requested Collect and properly dispose of trash and garbage Maintain inventory of maintenance and cleaning supplies and assist with ordering as needed Provide general maintenance assistance and support to parish staff as requested Job Requirements High school diploma or GED required; vocational or technical training preferred Knowledge of minor building repair and light carpentry; janitorial experience preferred Valid driver's license required Must pass diocesan background check and complete Safe Environment (VIRTUS) training Mechanical aptitude and ability to safely operate tools and equipment Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate self-motivation Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to work in varying temperatures and environmental conditions Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods Ability to work collaboratively with the Pastor and parish staff Responsible for the proper use and care of maintenance equipment and supplies The Archdiocese of St. Louis is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
