This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with mechanical aptitude who enjoys troubleshooting equipment and contributing to the success of golf course operations. Position Summary The Assistant Mechanic works closely with the Equipment Manager and Golf Course Maintenance team to inspect, maintain, and repair equipment used in daily golf course operations. The successful candidate will help ensure equipment remains safe, reliable, and ready for use. Essential Responsibilities Assist with preventative maintenance and repairs on golf course maintenance equipment. Perform routine inspections, lubrication, and adjustments. Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues. Maintain service records and repair logs. Keep the maintenance facility clean, organized, and safe. Assist with equipment setup and preparation for daily operations. Follow all safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines. Support special projects and other duties as assigned. Qualifications Mechanical experience with small engines, diesel engines, automotive equipment, or related machinery preferred. Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a maintenance shop environment. Valid driver's license preferred. Golf course equipment maintenance experience is a plus but not required.
Pay:
$19.00 - $20.00 per hour
