Job Description

This distinct, hospitality-first approach powers lasting returns for our investors and our communities. High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred. Previous experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting. Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer skills for record-keeping and inventory management. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces. Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other mechanical systems. Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity and reliability of equipment and systems. Address maintenance requests promptly and efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to guests and operations. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues. Handle minor carpentry and painting tasks. Ensure all repairs are carried out to the highest standards of quality and safety. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment. Identify and report any safety hazards or compliance issues to the Facilities Manager. Participate in safety training and drills. Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment. Reorder supplies as necessary to maintain adequate stock levels. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order. Keep accurate records of maintenance tasks, repairs, and inspections. Assist in maintaining logs for HVAC systems, fire safety equipment, and other critical system Work closely with other departments, such as housekeeping and front desk, to address facility-related issues. Assist with room inspections and preventive maintenance in guest rooms and public areas. Coordinate with external vendors and contractors as needed. Respond to guest inquiries and concerns related to facilities and maintenance in a courteous and professional manner. Provide excellent customer service to ensure guest satisfaction. Respond to facility emergencies, such as power outages, water leaks, and equipment failures, in a timely and effective manner. Participate in the hotel's emergency preparedness and response plans. Stay updated on industry best practices, new technologies, and maintenance techniques. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities. Must adhere to the company's grooming, uniform, and dress code policies. Assist with varied projects as assigned. Other duties as assigned. The Facilities Associate is responsible for ensuring the hotel's infrastructure, systems, and facilities are well-maintained and functioning efficiently. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment, and assisting in the overall upkeep of the property. The Facilities Associate plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and inviting environment for guests and staff.
