Department BHSU-Buildings & Grounds Physical Location of Position (City) Spearfish Posting Text Black Hills State University is seeking a full-time Senior Building Maintenance Worker in the Building & Grounds department. This position will be responsible for the renovation of existing campus structures, performing carpenter maintenance needs as they arise on campus, and assisting with groundskeeping.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
  • General carpentry skills
  • Operates the necessary tools of the trade
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints
  • Schedules the installation of projects
  • Computer skills including web browsing, Excel, MSWord
  • Professional, clear, and concise communication
  • Deal tactfully and work effectively with others
  • Ability to lift over 50 pounds
  • Climb ladders and stairs
  • Work after hours or on call as needed
