Employment Type Seasonal (Seasonal) Job Summary Are you looking for seasonal, short-term work? The City of Olathe is seeking a qualified individual to support the Stormwater workgroup as a Seasonal Stormwater Maintenance Worker. This seasonal, temporary position is expected to last no more than six months and is intended to support operational needs during peak periods.
Hourly pay rate:

The Stormwater Laborer performs unskilled and semi-skilled labor in order to help in the construction, operation, maintenance, and repair of the city's stormwater infrastructure and facilities. Key Responsibilities Performs general labor helping in the construction, demolition, and re-construction of stormwater infrastructure. Operates a variety of equipment including trucks, hand tools, power tools, lawn equipment, and various other tools and equipment. Provides maintenance of green stormwater infrastructure, including weeding and trash removal, planting, and erosion control. Removes debris from stream-corridors, lakes and ponds.
Qualifications Experience:
Prior landscape maintenance and general construction activities and/or infrastructure maintenance experience is preferred.
Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Licenses and Certificates:
