Maintenance Professional The Montessori Academy of Arlington - 4.0 Arlington, TX Job Details Part-time $18 - $24 an hour 15 hours ago Qualifications Outdoor work Maintenance Attention to detail Computer skills Facilities maintenance Full Job Description Maintenance Professional Private Montessori School | Arlington, TX Position Overview Our established private Montessori school serving approximately 210 students is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Maintenance Professional to help preserve a safe, well-maintained, and orderly campus environment. The Maintenance Professional supports the daily operation and long-term care of campus facilities and grounds. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, general repairs, physically demanding campus projects, and proactive identification of maintenance needs. While work requiring specialized licensure (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, major landscaping, etc.) is contracted, this role monitors, documents, and reports such needs to school leadership. Candidates with relevant trade certifications are encouraged to apply and may be considered for expanded responsibilities and adjusted compensation. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and general repairs (carpentry, painting, hardware replacement, fixture adjustments, etc.) Complete physically demanding outdoor projects such as gutter cleaning and repair, trimming and clearing, digging and filling, pipe burial, hauling debris, and seasonal grounds preparation Conduct preventative inspections of buildings, playground areas, safety equipment, and grounds Monitor building systems and report issues requiring licensed service Utilize an electronic work order system to track and document tasks Communicate clearly via email and text, including photo documentation when needed Maintain organized tools and a clean, orderly work environment Support weather-related campus readiness and event setup as needed Schedule & Availability Monday-Friday availability, with emphasis on after 4:00 p.m. during school weeks Approximately 8-15 hours per week, dependent on need Availability weekends for projects and campus readiness as needed Responsiveness to time-sensitive maintenance matters Qualifications Experience in general maintenance, facilities support, or related field Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift heavy materials Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all seasons Comfort using a laptop and electronic work order systems Strong communication skills Clear background check required What We Value Reliability and consistency Attention to detail Professional, respectful communication Pride in maintaining a clean and orderly environment Positive, service-oriented attitude
