About the Role As an Assistant Lead Maintenance Technician , you'll play a key role in keeping our communities running smoothly, safely, and efficiently. You'll support the Lead Maintenance Technician, help guide the team, and step into a leadership role when needed. This is not just a maintenance job—it's a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, teamwork, and delivering top-tier service. What You'll Do Perform routine maintenance and repairs (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, etc.) Troubleshoot and resolve service requests efficiently Assist with apartment make-readies and inspections Support preventative maintenance programs Maintain tools, inventory, and maintenance records Identify and correct safety hazards across the property Help lead and coordinate the maintenance team Ensure high standards for move-ins and overall property condition What We're Looking For You'll thrive here if you are: Dedicated and reliable Team-oriented with a strong work ethic Honest and trustworthy Organized and proactive A problem-solver who takes pride in their work
Requirements:
EPA certification (required) 1-2+ years of maintenance experience (multi-family preferred) Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems Valid driver's license Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly and work on your feet Work Environment Indoor and outdoor work in varying conditions Frequent physical activity including lifting, climbing, and bending Occasional on-call responsibilities Location Requirements Must be able to commute to Austin, TX 78704 Must be willing to relocate prior to start (if applicable) Equal Opportunity Employer Rainier Properties is an Equal Opportunity Employer (M/F/D/V).
