A hotel General Maintenance Worker fixes and maintains the building, grounds, and equipment, handling guest requests and preventative tasks in areas like plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC, ensuring guest satisfaction and safety through quick, skilled repairs and proactive upkeep of all hotel systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Repairs & Maintenance:

Diagnose and fix issues with plumbing (leaks, faucets), electrical systems (lighting, outlets), carpentry (furniture, walls), HVAC (heating, cooling units), and fixtures.

Preventative Maintenance:

Conduct scheduled checks and servicing of equipment, systems, and facilities to prevent breakdowns.

Guest Service:

Respond promptly and professionally to guest work orders and requests, ensuring a positive experience.

General Upkeep:

Perform painting, minor cleaning, and maintenance on both the interior and exterior of the property. •

Safety& Security:

•Ensure locks, lighting, and security features function correctly, and maintain a safe environment for guests and staff.

Support Other Departments:

Assist with setup/cleanup for meeting rooms or other areas as needed.

Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

Experience with general trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry).

Problem-Solving:

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.

Communication:

Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with guests and co-workers.

Physical Stamina:

Capable of physically demanding work, including climbing ladders, lifting, and working in tight spaces. Other duties as assigned.
