Maintenance Assistant

Job Description Interlube Corporation Inc. is seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep, repair, and overall maintenance of terminal facilities and equipment. The ideal candidate must be safety-oriented, dependable, and capable of working in an outdoor industrial environment. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance on terminal equipment, machinery, and systems. Assist with basic mechanical and electrical repairs. Troubleshoot and identify equipment issues, reporting critical problems to the Maintenance Supervisor. Conduct routine inspections to ensure infrastructure and machinery meet safe operating requirements. Respond promptly to internal maintenance requests and operational emergencies. Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and completed work. Support installation, upgrades, and improvement projects. Strictly follow all safety policies, including OSHA, USCG, TWIC, and Interlube internal procedures. Collaborate with Operations, Traffic, and HSSE departments to reduce downtime and maintain operational continuity. Requirements Previous experience in industrial, mechanical, electrical, or facility maintenance (preferred). Basic knowledge of tools, machinery, and maintenance procedures. Ability to identify equipment issues and perform minor repairs. Must have a TWIC card or be eligible to obtain one (required for work in restricted port areas). Availability to work overtime, rotating shifts, and assist during operational emergencies. Ability to frequently bend, kneel, climb, stoop, and reach. Ability to safely climb and descend stairs and ladders. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to perform physically demanding work in an industrial terminal environment. Must be comfortable working near operational equipment, tanks, trucks, railcars, and loading areas. Ability to work safely and follow established procedures and policies. Basic to intermediate English and Spanish preferred. Valid driver's license (preferred). Skills Strong teamwork and communication skills. Attention to detail and sense of urgency. Organization and ability to follow technical instructions. Willingness to learn and support multiple maintenance activities as needed. Proactive, problem-solving attitude. Schedule & Work Conditions Rotating shifts based on operational needs. Availability to work inside and outside the terminal as needed.

Pay:

From $16.00 per hour
