Job Description

The City of Chico is accepting applications for a Part-Time Public Works Employee. This position assists with the maintenance and operation of the City's water and wastewater systems, streets, parks, and other public infrastructure.
Qualifications:
Essential Duties Include:
Assisting with water and wastewater system maintenance and repairs Street, drainage, and right-of-way maintenance Park and city property maintenance Meter reading and utility service work Equipment and vehicle upkeep Assisting with special projects and seasonal work Responding to emergencies as needed Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred Valid Texas Driver's License required Experience in public works, construction, landscaping, utility maintenance, or related fields preferred Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to operate heavy equipment. Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
