This work typically occurs over a 10-21 day period during which outgoing residents move out and incoming residents prepare to move in. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role involving daily assignments across various areas of the property. Responsibilities include preparing units for move-in, assisting with cleaning and trash removal, supporting maintenance and preventative upkeep tasks, assembling and installing furniture, and providing general support during resident move-in activities. Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
Furniture Delivery & Assembly:
Assist with unloading, transporting, assembling, and placing furniture throughout units and common areas. This work requires physical strength and the ability to lift items up to 50+ pounds, as well as the use of basic hand tools for assembly. Tasks may include delivery, installation, and site cleanup.
Exterior & Grounds Maintenance:
Support upkeep of outdoor areas and community appearance, including trash removal, landscaping tasks (mowing, edging, trimming, planting), and cleaning exterior walkways, hallways, and shared spaces.
Cleaning & Housekeeping Support:
Assist with cleaning duties across units and common areas, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, restroom cleaning, carpet care, office cleaning, and other sanitation tasks required during turnover periods.
Move-In Support:
Assist residents and families during move-in activities by helping transport belongings, directing traffic flow, and supporting an organized and positive move-in experience. This role requires professionalism, courtesy, and timely reporting of any resident concerns to on-site leadership.
Maintenance Assistance:
Support maintenance staff with a variety of tasks including basic unit prep (lightbulb replacement, air filter changes, battery replacements), minor repairs, painting touch-ups, preventative maintenance, and general labor support as needed. Entry into occupied units will only occur when accompanied by authorized on-site personnel. All interactions with residents, families, and guests must remain professional and respectful at all times. All tools and equipment will be provided by on-site leadership. Team members are required to follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment and appropriate hydration, especially during outdoor work. Work Environment This position operates in both indoor and outdoor environments depending on daily assignments. Work may occur in residential units, common areas, exterior grounds, and office spaces. Employees may be exposed to varying weather conditions, moderate noise levels, and physically active work environments. Standard office equipment may also be used when supporting administrative tasks. Physical Demands The physical demands described below are required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made where appropriate. While performing job duties, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle, grip, and operate tools or materials, as well as communicate verbally and hear instructions. This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching. Sitting is occasional and dependent upon assigned tasks. The employee must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, or move items weighing up to 40-50 pounds on a regular basis.
