 Temp-to-Hire Are you looking to start a career in public infrastructure? We are seeking a motivated individual to join a local municipality's utility team. This is an entry-level, "training class" position where you will learn the essential skills needed to maintain and repair vital water and wastewater systems. Key Responsibilities As a Maintenance Worker I, you will work in a team environment to ensure the community's utility systems are running smoothly.

Your daily tasks will include:

Performing semi-skilled tasks in the construction, maintenance, and repair of water and wastewater facilities. Operating a variety of tools, machinery, and specialized equipment relevant to the job. Working safely in various environments, including outdoors in all weather conditions and occasionally in confined spaces. Requirements & Physical Demands

Experience:

 This is an entry-level role; little to no experience is required. We are looking for someone eager to learn.

License:

 Must possess a Valid Driver's License.

Residency:

 Must live within 30 miles of Gainesville, TX.

Skills:

 Ability to follow oral and written instructions and a basic understanding of maintenance tools.

Physical:

 Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform bending/twisting/reaching maneuvers.

Safety:

 Must be comfortable wearing PPE (hard hat, vest, glasses, gloves, earplugs) and wearing steel-toe boots. Background & Compliance Must pass a drug screen and a public data background check.
