Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to join our dynamic facilities team. In this vital role, you will support the maintenance and repair of our residential and manufacturing facilities, ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment. Your expertise will help uphold high standards of safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal across our properties. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in facilities maintenance while contributing to a thriving community or manufacturing setting. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems using schematics and technical manuals Assist with electrical repairs, including troubleshooting circuits and utilizing tools such as ohmmeters and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) Conduct welding tasks for structural repairs or fabrication projects, adhering to safety protocols Support residential painting projects to enhance property appearance and maintain aesthetic standards Use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule future tasks Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as HVAC servicing, carpentry, and general repairs to ensure operational efficiency Supervise or collaborate with team members on larger projects, demonstrating leadership and ensuring quality standards are met Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams Electrical experience including troubleshooting circuits and understanding electrical systems Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks Welding skills for structural repairs or fabrication work Experience with facilities maintenance in residential or manufacturing environments Knowledge of CMMS software for maintenance tracking and reporting Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals accurately Competence in residential painting techniques for property upkeep Supervising experience or leadership skills to guide team members effectively Customer service mindset to address internal or external stakeholder needs professionally Proficiency in using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment Basic understanding of safety procedures related to electrical work, welding, and general maintenance tasks Fluency in English for clear communication across teams Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and service.
