Building Maintenance Worker, (A261250-1), 202, City Hall Maintenance

Assists with general maintenance and cleaning for buildings and grounds. Performs semi-skilled work to support facilities including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other repairs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description. Performs general building and grounds maintenance work; cleans, disinfects, and maintains restrooms; maintains equipment used to perform work. Paints walls and fixtures; moves chairs and tables to set-up special group meetings and trainings. Assists in the maintenance of air-conditioners and heating systems in accordance with accepted practices and procedures; performs minor electrical and plumbing repairs. Performs carpentry activities including painting and masonry work as needed. Will be required to drive a City vehicle for City business use. Performs other duties as assigned.
