This position will perform entry level building maintenance and construction work..
Responsibilities:
Assist in maintaining and repairing buildings, utility systems, stationary equipment, and vehicles; Operatemotorized equipment; Complete assigned maintenance tasks using appropriate tools and equipment; Perform preventative maintenance on buildings, vehicles, and equipment; Perform routine vehicle maintenance and repairs; Assist with building inspections and safety requirements
Essential Duties:
Communicate information to supervisor and other employees; Complete all required documentation accurately and within established timelines; Assist the supervisor or other Center Staff with special projects or assignments; Support building securityand fill in providing support to the Plant Operations functions throughout StarCare Specialty Health System; on-call dutieson rotating basis with other Maintenance employees; Travel to all Center locations or other citywide sites, using a Center vehicle and/or personal vehicle, is required.
Schedule:
This is a full-time/non-exempt position scheduled Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, with flexibility to meet the needs of the department.

Qualifications:
High School Education or equivalent, Experience in construction, maintenance, and repair work.
Skills & Abilities:
Working knowledge of operation and safe use of all power and hand tools/equipment common to the maintenance field is necessary. Knowledge of maintenance practices and principles. Knowledge of the construction, repair, maintenance, and operation of buildings, equipment, and utility systems. Skill in the use and maintenance of tools and equipment. Ability to follow instruction: to work from drawings, diagrams, or blueprints. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with other employees, customers in service and the public. Knowledge and skill in operating standard office equipment (phone, fax, copier, etc.) and personal computer with Microsoft Office products is required.
Additional Requirements:
Must pass a pre-hire drug screen and criminal background check. Must have a Texas driver's license, liability auto insurance, and be insurable under the Agency's insurance.
