BTmME Purpose & Overview:
At Southcrest, a Maintenance Team Member is vital in ensuring that the church and school campuses remain safe, functional, and well-maintained both inside and out. This role supports day-to-day operations by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and landscaping. Each team member contributes to the upkeep of buildings, equipment, and grounds, ensuring every ministry program, worship service, and event occurs in a well-maintained environment. This position is under the guidance of Kevin Knight and is part of the Ministry Services Team.

High School Diploma Experience in
Facility Maintenance Valid TX Driver's License Personal Qualifications:
A heart for serving the church and its mission Dependable and able to work independently with minimal supervision Physical ability to lift, move, and set up furniture (up to 60 lbs.) and perform manual tasks for extended periods Ability to work outdoors in both warm and cold temperatures
Role Responsibilities Maintenance:
Perform minor carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs Assist with office or room setups, furniture moves, and fixture installations Respond promptly to maintenance requests by troubleshooting and resolving issues quickly Maintain tools and ensure equipment is in good working order Assist with light maintenance tasks as needed Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members Work with other departments to coordinate repairs and maintenance Ensure the cleanliness and safety of work areas
Lawn Care:
Operate various lawn equipment Prune shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth Shovel snow and ice from walks (seasonal) Spray grounds with fertilizer, herbicides, and insecticides Minor irrigation maintenance and repair
Team Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members Work cooperatively with other Facilities Team Members and staff Adapt to changing needs and priorities based on the church's events and activity schedules
