This role operates light and heavy equipment, assists with maintenance activities, and ensures a clean and safe work environment throughout the plant. The Utility Laborer is critical to keeping plant operations running smoothly and safely. Principal Duties and Accountabilities (Essential Functions)

• Perform general housekeeping activities across all areas of the plant, including cleanup of material spillage and debris.
• Operate equipment such as skid steers (Bobcats), front-end loaders, forklifts, and dump trucks to support plant operations and cleanup efforts.
• Assist maintenance personnel with routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, greasing equipment, and replacing basic components.
• Utilize hand and power tools such as shovels, brooms, air hammers, and air chipping guns for various plant maintenance and cleaning tasks.
• Stack, organize, and relocate materials and supplies as directed.
• Complete equipment safety checklists and maintain plant logs accurately and timely.
• Responsible for completing area audits.
• Maintains work area and equipment in a safe and clean condition at all times.
• Responsible to abide by and support all company and plant safety policies, rules, and procedures as well as M.

S.H.A regulations.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months of experience operating heavy equipment (e.g., skid steer, front-end loader, dump truck) preferred but not required.
• Experience in stone plant, mining, or construction site environments preferred but not required.

Occasional exposure to chemicals, solvents, fumes, acids, grease, and fuels should be expected. The employee may also work in confined or restricted spaces at times.
