Seasonal Utility Worker - May thru August 2026

Salary:

$18.00/hr. To perform a variety of semi-skilled duties involved in the care and maintenance of landscape at water utility facilities and to perform specialized projects as assigned. You can search for this position's full job description here .

SUPERVISION

General supervision is provided by the Production Supervisor. All behaviors comply with the Code of Conduct & Rules of Behavior outlined in chapter 8 of the General Government Policies and Procedures Manual. Adheres to assigned work schedule as outlined in city and department attendance policies and procedures. Participate in a variety of maintenance and landscape duties including trimming trees and shrubs, pulling weeds, mowing and edging lawns, raking areas, watering plants and trees, sweeping. Participate in a variety of facilities maintenance duties including mowing, edging, and litter control at various city pump stations. Operate a variety of tools and equipment including power tools, lawn mowers, trucks and tractors; perform general maintenance duties including refueling and lubricating parts; make minor adjustments as necessary. Participate in the maintenance and repair of fencing.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform special projects as assigned. Maintain work, time and material records. Paint fire hydrants as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned. Must be a minimum 17 years of age.

EDUCATION

Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.

EXPERIENCE

None required.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES

Possession of a valid driver's license.

WORK SCHEDULE

Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM overtime as needed ( May thru August 2026 )
