Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and motivated Water Plant Maintenance Technician to support the daily operation, maintenance, and repair of water treatment facilities and equipment. This position ensures the safe and efficient delivery of clean drinking water by maintaining plant systems, performing routine inspections, and responding to maintenance needs. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on pumps, motors, valves, pipelines, and treatment equipment Inspect water plant systems to identify issues and ensure proper operation Assist with installation and replacement of equipment and components Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs Monitor water system performance and report abnormalities Follow all safety procedures, regulations, and compliance standards Respond to emergency maintenance calls as needed Assist operators in maintaining water quality standards Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Experience in water utilities, maintenance, construction, or a related field preferred Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, climbing, and working outdoors in various weather conditions Valid Texas driver's license required Preferred Qualifications Experience with water treatment systems or public utilities Knowledge of TCEQ regulations (Texas Commission on Environmental Quality) Basic plumbing, electrical, or mechanical repair skills Work Environment Outdoor and indoor work in a water treatment facility Exposure to loud equipment, chemicals, and varying weather conditions May require weekend, holiday, or on-call work
