Job Description

Assistant Facilities Maintenance Technician Job Description :
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Assistant Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge and a passion for facilities maintenance. This role involves supporting the Maintenance Technician in performing routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and inspections at 3 locations in Cedar City & New Harmony, (2 Residential Treatment Centers, 1 Transitional Boarding School). We anticipate a minimum of 20 hours of work per week with the possibility to grow into a full-time role at 32+ hours per week. This role is crucial in helping maintain the safety and functionality of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in conducting regular inspections of facilities and equipment. Support the Maintenance Technician in performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, painting, minor repairs, landscaping (including lawn mowing, fertilizing, pulling weeds, planting, trimming hedges snow removal, etc.), other tasks as assigned Help troubleshoot issues and repair/replace parts. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs and receipts. Collaborate with the maintenance team at each facility to ensure timely completion of tasks. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus. Previous experience in a maintenance role is preferred but not required. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Self-starter and capable of working on their own. Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy objects. Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Pay:
$18.00 - $21.00 per hour
