Maintenance Technician Assistant

We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Technician Assistant to support our maintenance team. In this role, you will work closely with the Head Maintenance Technician to help ensure the upkeep and smooth operation of our facilities. Your responsibilities will include assisting with repairs, performing routine maintenance tasks, monitoring supplies, and ensuring the premises remain in good working order. The ideal candidate has a basic understanding of building systems, is eager to learn, and is comfortable using hand and power tools. You should be a team player, detail-oriented, and able to take direction while working efficiently and safely. Responsibilities Assist the Head Maintenance Technician with building, equipment, and system inspections. Perform basic repairs and maintenance under supervision (e.g., replacing filters, fixing minor leaks, painting). Help carry out routine landscaping and general facility upkeep. Support preventative maintenance efforts and keep tools and supplies organized. Monitor and restock maintenance inventory. Assist in ensuring heating, plumbing, and electrical systems are functioning properly. Help maintain cleanliness and safety in maintenance areas and mechanical rooms. Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred. Willingness to learn and grow in the maintenance field. Basic knowledge of tools and general maintenance techniques. Good communication and teamwork skills. Physically able to lift, bend, and be on your feet for extended periods. Available to work occasional overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
