At WTCSB our mission is to provide a coordinated system of quality recovery-oriented care in Mental Health, Intellectual Disability, and Substance Abuse Services to the citizens of the cities of Franklin and Suffolk and the counties of Isle of Wight and Southampton. We continually strive to value staff, support diversity, and promote excellence and personal choice in the provision of consumer care. We are seeking a Maintenance/Janitorial Laborer. Responsibilities & Duties for
Maintenance/Janitorial Laborer:
Assemble, move, and transport furniture as needed. Paint, plaster, drywall patching and refinish items as needed. Perform heavy duty cleaning/floor care and minor repairs. Assist with maintaining ground care, parking lots. Cleaning and/or replacing screens and cleaning storm windows. Available for on call emergency situations - plumbing, alarms, evacuations, etc. Clean storage and utility areas. Inspect all equipment and systems regularly to ensure proper functioning and safety; report any suspicious or questionable findings to the Facilities Administrator. Maintain HVAC system by cleaning around exterior units and replacing filters on a scheduled basis; Preventative maintenance. Inspect building and ground regularly for compliance with local codes, ordinances, and safety regulations. Conduct roof and crawlspace inspections; minor repairs as needed or report any suspicious or questionable findings to the Facilities Administrator. Relocate institutional equipment when needed, i.e. beds, equipment used by nurses, etc. Pick up supplies/run errands as directed. Handle incoming/outgoing freight. Comply with all Human Rights Regulations. Attend and satisfactorily complete all required in-service training. Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
High School Diploma/GED. OSHA 10hr Preferred. Six months relative work experience - Plumbing, HVAC, electrical, lawncare/landscaping, drywall repair, painting. Valid Driver's License with acceptable DMV record at the time of employment and continuously, thereafter.
