Facilities Maintenance & Trade Skills:
Experience performing basic maintenance tasks, simple repairs, and physical work in a related setting.Effective Communication :

In addition to the competencies above, the following are also required: A valid driver's license and the ability to operate state-owned vehicles. The ability to obtain a valid Traffic Control/Flagging card within six (6) months of hire. The ability to obtain a Washington State Pesticide Applicator's License within twelve (12) months of hire. The ability to obtain and maintain a valid First Aid/ CPR Certification. The ability to report in service to assigned duty station within 60 minutes of an after-hours call. Ability and willingness to work varying shifts, including weekends, holidays, and respond to emergency situations 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week. Ability to work in all weather conditions and ability to traverse uneven terrain. Ability to maneuver and transport various materials and/or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. It is preferred that qualified candidates also demonstrate:Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance Experience:
Experience performing landscaping activities such as mowing, pruning, and fertilizing.Facilities Maintenance and Janitorial Repair Experience:
Experience performing minor repair and maintenance of public buildings to include janitorial duties and plumbing/electrical systems.Cleaning Agents and Chemical Use Knowledge :
Knowledge of a variety of cleaning agents and how to mix for effective cleaning.Technology Skills:
Experience utilizing computer software such as Microsoft Office to include Excel, Word, and Outlook; and tablets, such as an iPad. Important Notes This recruitment may also be used to fill additional positions per business needs. This position is not eligible for remote work. The salary listed includes the legislative approved 5% salary premium for positions in King County. An additional 10% assignment pay is included in the posted salary. In addition to base salary, employees may be entitled to other forms of compensation depending on the type, duties, or location of the position. For union-represented positions, more information on other forms of compensation can be found in the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreements. Information on other compensation types for non-represented positions can be found in Chapter 357-28 of the Washington Administrative Code. Travel is an expectation of the position and may be required on a regular, sporadic, or as needed basis.
