Part-time, Seasonal Position Description General Maintenance Laborer General Description:
The General Maintenance laborer is a Part-time/Seasonal employee and works under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor. This position is required to perform a wide variety of maintenance tasks to maintain buildings, grounds, and operate associated equipment. The General Maintenance laborer will be required to work in all weather conditions under limited supervision.Example of Duties:
The duties of the General Maintenance Laborer include but are not limited to: Grounds maintenance of community recreational facilities and common greenbelt and garden areas using a variety of hand and power equipment. General building maintenance, such as painting, pressure washing, and minor repairs. Cleaning and maintenance of community pool General maintenance and custodial duties in community restrooms. Pick up trash and debris. Maintain associated vehicles and equipment. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, skills and abilities: Broad knowledge in a variety of grounds keeping and general maintenance trades. Able to work safely under limited supervision. Able to operate a variety of equipment including trucks, mowers, hand and power tools. Able to lift and move supplies and meterials weighing 50 pounds or more. Able to perform duties involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling crouching and/or crawling for sustained periods of time. Able to work independently or in-group situations. Able to communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers, understand and follow directions. Able to read and comprehend operating and maintenance instructions, and associated literature.Minimum qualifications:
Able to read, write and speak the English language. Posses High school diploma or GED. Possess and maintain a valid Washington State driver's license. Physically able to perform the tasks which may be assigned. Submit to and pass a security/background check. Pay $22- $24
DOE Pay:
$22.00- $24.
