Job Description:
City University of Seattle is seeking a dependable, service-oriented Facilities Maintenance Assistant to help keep our campus running smoothly and support a positive experience for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. This hands-on role combines facilities maintenance, mailroom operations, event support, and campus logistics. If you enjoy solving problems, helping others, and taking pride in maintaining safe and welcoming spaces, we'd love to hear from you. What You'll Do Manage daily mail collection and distribution Perform general maintenance and repair tasks, including painting, drywall, furniture repairs, lighting, and basic plumbing/electrical work Assist with furniture installation and office moves Support campus events and special projects Complete pickups and deliveries using University vehicles Contribute ideas to improve facilities operations and service
Job Requirements:
What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent Experience in facilities, maintenance, building operations, or a related field preferred Strong customer service mindset and willingness to help others Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively Safe operation of hand and power tools Valid Washington State driver's license with a good driving record Valid passport for traveling to our Canadian campuses Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors and outdoors
