Job Description

Estimated:
June - August 2026 ONLY
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
Maintenance and care of District buildings and grounds in a professional manner.
DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE TO
Facilities Director
RESPONSIBLITIES
. Painting (both interior and exterior) . Roofing (patching and cleaning) . Demolition Work (both interior and exterior) . Irrigation repairs, installations, setting water . Weeding (both by hand and with a weed eater) . Mowing (both push and self-propelled) .
Handyman as needed:
electrical, plumbing, locker, and ceiling repairs . Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
: . Be on feet for an 8-hour shift . Climb and descend ladders up to 30 feet . Lift 100 lbs. occasionally, and up to 50 lbs. frequently. .
Operate power equipment:
hand tools, lawnmowers, weed eaters, etc. . Perform minor electrical repairs on ballasts, switches, outlets, etc and make minor repair to waterlines and plumbing Working Environment The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting (able to lift 50 pounds and assist in lifting over 50 pounds), carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 34% sitting, 33% walking, and 33% standing. The job related is performed under a generally hazard-free environment and in a clean atmosphere Bilingual Preferred Recent High School Graduates or College Students Preferred
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school diploma and/or specialized training
Experience:
Previous experience in building and ground maintenance
Personal Qualities:
Ability to work with fellow staff members and supervisors. Ability to complete work in a professional and timely fashion.
