Job Description
The Maintenance Associate performs general maintenance and repairs at our St. Vincent de Paul Waukesha County thrift stores, recycling warehouse and administrative offices including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems. The Maintenance Associate will collaborate with management and external vendors to obtain quotes and complete projects that fall outside the scope of the position. Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair. Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs. Do garden/yard upkeep by mowing lawn, collecting trash, snow plowing etc. Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs. Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (heating and ventilation). Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations. Plans repair work using buildings blueprints or equipment manual as needed. Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures. Performs routine maintenance on building systems. Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities. Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance. Performs other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in general facility maintenance or a related field Must have a valid state driver license and maintain an acceptable driving record. Reliable personal vehicle available for work-related travel between locations (mileage reimbursement provided).Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods standing and walking. Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces. Must be able to lift-up to 75 pounds at a time.Similar jobs in New Berlin, WI
